In response to feedback from members and supporters of the ACT, and reflecting changing priorities in many organisations and a shifting external environment, we have made the decision that rather than hold a second Diversity & Sustainability Awards this year we will focus on activities which reflect promoting opportunity and talent across the treasury profession.
In today’s rapidly evolving treasury environment talent and skills, building a robust and innovative treasury function and the future of the profession are becoming increasingly important. Many of our members and the wider treasury community have been asking, for example, if we might re-start the Ones to Watch list, which highlighted and celebrated future and emerging talent in the treasury profession and which was paused at the start of the Covid pandemic; and asking if recognition for excellence in sustainability and sustainable finance could be recognised separately to focus specifically on treasury work in this area.
We would like to thank those who had already put forward nominations for the D&S Awards which we appreciated. We expect that there will be new calls for nominations for both the proposed new formats, and more details about this will follow in due course.
