Gianluca is the Head of Product Development, Sustainable Finance for Fitch Ratings. He is responsible for identifying and developing new ESG products. Gianluca is part of several working groups on Sustainable Finance.
He joined Fitch Ratings in 2018 as a Senior Director in Business and Relationship Management for EMEA. Before that, he spent 13 years working in Capital Markets for HSBC where he originated and structured numerous debt transactions for Financial institutions, Corporates and Public Sector.
Gianluca holds a BSc and MSc in Finance from Bocconi University in Milan.
and Marina Petroleka, Senior Director, Global Head of ESG Research
Marina Petroleka is Global Head of ESG Research in Fitch Ratings’ Sustainable Finance division, based in London. In her role, Marina leads a global team of research analysts undertaking detailed research and credit-relevant analysis on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) themes and cross-sector trends, as well as supporting and providing input for ESG-related research from all Fitch’s different analytical group areas.
Previously Marina was EMEA Regional Credit Officer at the Credit Policy Group, with a focus on Research. Her main responsibilities were leading cross sector, thematic credit research to ensure comprehensive analysis and awareness on major credit risks, across asset classes, but with a focus on Corporates.
Aymeric Poizot is Global Head of Investor Development. Aymeric joined Fitch Ratings in April 2003, and was EMEA head of the Fund and Asset Manager Rating group until February 2014. Aymeric is in charge of the agency’s outreach to major global investors, leading a team of 20 relationship managers.
After graduation from Ecole Centrale Paris and Sciences Po, Aymeric joined the Allianz Group in 1997 to follow a special graduate program.
In 1998, he moved to Allianz Global Investors to supervise the reporting activities on insurance portfolios and, the next year, on institutional accounts and mutual funds.
In 2000, he joined the European equity team as fund manager in charge of mandates and mutual funds and, at the end of 2001, left for HSBC Multimanager Europe as a manager of balanced funds of funds.
He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designee and member of the CAIA Association.

James joined the ACT Policy & Technical team in September 2019 with 30 years’ experience of international finance, most recently within Group Treasury of Royal Dutch Shell plc as Head of Regulatory Affairs, Head of Compliance and Controller of Group Pensions. James is a qualified accountant (ACMA/CGMA), with a degree in Law & Politics, who has worked in UK, Africa, South America & Middle East. He has been CFO/Finance Manager of various entities in the energy, commodities, technology and not for profit sectors. James enjoys engaging with stakeholders and has contributed to many working groups, including the FSB’s Market Participants Group on reforming interest rate benchmarks.
