Created in association with Deutsche Bank, this comprehensive guide is a must-read for senior finance professionals as they take on a Group Treasurer role, coming from a different discipline. Our expert panel shared advice and insights that were invaluable to treasurers at any point in their career journey.
A webinar of two parts, the first half explored the background to the guide and gave insight into the key aspects covered in it. In the second half, we heard from a number of corporate treasurers as they shared their personal experiences and learnings.

Claudia Villasis-Wallraff is a corporate treasury & risk management executive who has specialised in strategic treasury and treasury technology.
With an accounting background, 10 years ago she moved from consulting into the treasury and risk management space. She has worked in large MNCs in Germany, the UK and Singapore.
Changing perspective again, she moved into banking last year. She works for Deutsche Bank in Singapore as Director Corporate Cash Management Structuring, where her main focus is to deliver complex, market-leading treasury, payment and workflow solutions to clients.
She also supports the UK Association of Corporate Treasurers as Singapore Ambassador.
Simon Neville is Group Treasury Director of Reckitt Benckiser Group plc. RB is a global leader in consumer health and hygiene with operations in approximately 60 countries and sales in almost 200. In 2019 RB reported full year revenues of c.£13 billion and has a stock market capitalization of £50 billion.
Simon manages RB’s global Treasury and Insurance team, with additional responsibility for pension funding.
Simon has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Australia, the Middle East and across Europe, and held senior finance leadership roles in several diverse international groups including Jardine Matheson Group, TOTAL, Tesco and Tullett Prebon.
Simon is a Fellow of both the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and the Association of Corporate Treasurers, and holds an MBA from Kingston Business School. He is also on the Council of the ACT.
Simon lives in Surrey, and outside work is a Fellow of The Royal Society for the Arts.
Frank Waechter is responsible for any treasury and insurance matters within the PUMA group. He is based at the company’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach near Nuernberg, Germany. Furthermore, he is an active member in the German Treasurers’ Association VdT e.V and a member of the United Nations Fashion Industry Charter on Climate Action: Working Group "Financial Tools".

Caroline Stockmann has been Chief Executive of the Association of Corporate Treasurers since February 2017. Prior to that Caroline held the position of Chief Financial Officer at The British Council, the UK’s largest charity, and before that at Save the Children International.
She has 25 years’ experience in senior finance, commercial and strategic posts at a number of commercial organisations including Novartis Pharmaceuticals (Switzerland), Cadbury Schweppes, Granada plc and Unilever/ Bestfoods (Thailand, Netherlands and UK). Much of her working life has been spent overseas.
Caroline trained with KPMG and is a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). She has an ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting and has filled numerous roles as trustee over the years, including currently being a member of the Finance and Investment Committee of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, amongst other roles.
Caroline is a linguist, musician, trained coach and passionate bell ringer, and is married with two children.
