The ACT Annual Dinner 2024 took place on 13 November. We were joined by the treasury community for an unforgettable evening of sophisticated dining, philanthropy and entertainment at the ACT's flagship social event.
You Networked with your treasury peers and made new contacts at this elegant event, taking place in the stunning surroundings of Grosvenor House Hotel, London, and raised funds for ACT's charity partner by participating in the prize draw and silent auction.
The dress code for the evening was black-tie and began with a drinks reception followed by a three-course dinner.
Helen Sharman made history in May 1991 as the first British astronaut, spending eight days on the MIR Space Station. She conducted various scientific experiments while sharing her experiences with the world. She has since become a renowned speaker, captivating audiences with her stories of space, STEM, and the rigorous training she underwent.
Helen has been awarded numerous awards, including the OBE and Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) for her contributions to science and education. Her impact extends beyond her mission, as she continues to inspire future generations of scientists and engineers through her work as a science communicator and corporate speaker. Schools and science centres across the UK and Europe are named in her honour, cementing her legacy as a true pioneer in space exploration.
The drinks reception will started at 18:30 where guests networked with fellow attendees. Guests will were invited to take their seats for dinner at 19:20.
