The Bank of England and HM Treasury have published a consultation about whether a digital pound is desirable and what it might look like if it is. Responding to this consultation is a rare opportunity for corporates to share their thoughts on the usefulness (or otherwise) of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and so the Policy & Technical team at the ACT would like to share some of their thoughts on the matter to stimulate debate with a view to getting feedback from members to input into the consultation.
Find the consultation here: The digital pound: a new form of money for households and businesses? Consultation Paper (bankofengland.co.uk)
Participants:
Naresh Aggarwal, Associate Director, Policy & Technical, ACT
Sarah Boyce, Associate Director, Policy & Technical, ACT
James Winterton, Associate Director, Policy & Technical, ACT
This event is exclusively for current ACT members and students.
