A panel of speakers from Aviva Investors joined us for a discussion on how recent monetary policy actions have impacted money market funds and investors demand for cash. We explored the benefits of creating segregated mandates such as, maintaining liquidity and security as well as enabling optimised performance. The live panel also be engaged in a Q&A session.
Anthony’s role at Aviva Investors is to manage the Aviva Investors Pan-European Liquidity business, and head the sales effort that is responsible for managing assets under management of £40bn, covering our Dublin domiciled AAA fund range and French domestic (‘FCP’) short-term money market and money market funds. Anthony has been running the liquidity business for three years and has been in the team, and at Aviva Investors, for the last eight years. He has also been aligned to the cash liquidity business since 2006. He currently sits as a member of the Liquidity Board for Aviva Investors.
Caroline Hedges is the Global Head of Liquidity Portfolio Management at Aviva Investors, overseeing the portfolio management of liquidity funds in the UK and Europe. Caroline also manages the Sterling Liquidity Plus Fund.
James joined the ACT Policy & Technical team in September 2019 with 30 years’ experience of international finance, most recently within Group Treasury of Royal Dutch Shell plc as Head of Regulatory Affairs, Head of Compliance and Controller of Group Pensions. James is a qualified accountant (ACMA/CGMA), with a degree in Law & Politics, who has worked in UK, Africa, South America & Middle East. He has been CFO/Finance Manager of various entities in the energy, commodities, technology and not for profit sectors. James enjoys engaging with stakeholders and has contributed to many working groups, including the FSB’s Market Participants Group on reforming interest rate benchmarks.
