ACT’s Accredited University scheme

With the summer pause, now is a great time to think about the talent development needs of your team and how to source quality emerging talent to feed your treasury and wider finance teams.

The ACT’s Accredited University scheme can help you source quality talent, at whatever stage in the academic cycle your needs arise.  Since the finalisation of the ACT’s new qualifications suite we have been evolving our Accredited University relationships to deliver a more effective, more joined up offering for the University, students, employers and the ACT.  We are seeing an increasing number of new applications from universities in the UK and elsewhere, reflecting the increased profile and recognition of the treasury profession, and of the ACT’s credentials.

Here are just some of the benefits of engaging with the ACT’s Accredited University scheme:

• Enables targeted recruitment from a graduate pool which has an active interest in the treasury profession
• Many Accredited University students are already eAffilliate members of the ACT and are already engaged with the ACT, the treasury profession and associated professional standards
• Exemptions / dual awards materially decrease both the cost and time needed to get new recruits professionally qualified, and also ensures that those joining have a head start in real life treasury and financial issues. Students who have passed appropriate modules may be eligible to claim exemptions from ACT qualification units, and/or to claim the dual award of an ACT qualification based on their degree.
• Quality assurance through Accredited University graduates’ eligibility for exemptions or a dual award. This helps quality talent stand out, particularly for employers who recruit primarily in students’ final year or post graduation.
• Graduates come from all over the world, and while many have the right to work in the UK/EU, many have the right to work in other major centres; so ideal for building teams in multinational enterprises.
