35 days after his election as ACT President I’m happy to report that Yann Umbricht is very much still in harness and was on remarkably good form at the Annual Conference in Manchester.
I imagine his 2015 CPD log is already bursting with activity (yes this is a subliminal reminder to you to complete your CPD declaration, and well done to the huge number of you who have already done so), including, of course, the necessary preparation on the rules of cricket prior to the excellent gala dinner held at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground. He promised us fireworks and we got them!
There were a huge number of highlights at this year’s record breaking conference. The programme content was incredibly strong, the speakers were top class and the audience were fully engaged. Delegates went home really happy; some even trying to live up to their own caricature, no doubt refreshed by the lack of a repeat last year’s early morning hotel fire-drill, nor this year’s penchant for early morning FBI raids at an annual congress. Yes those practical tips in The Treasurer on how to get the best out of the ACT Annual Conference came in really handy.
Naturally we look forward to welcoming you back to next year’s conference in Liverpool which takes place from 18-20 May.
