We wanted to know what the future holds and thanks to you we now do.
We recently asked you to share your thoughts in the ACT’s “Have your say survey” and, quite frankly, your response has been superb. You told us exactly what the future should hold for your global chartered treasury professional body.
Your shared thoughts and insights have inspired us all at the ACT. You continue to provide conclusive proof that treasury professionals are highly respected; our profession is thriving and treasury skills and qualifications are highly respected and valued by international employers. We now want to take the ACT forward and support you all even more.
Throughout the autumn the ACT team, led by our individually qualified, member-elected Council, will use the insights gained from the survey to formulate our 2016-2020 strategic plan and we truly believe exciting times are ahead.
Remember, if you want to help further you can participate in so many ways. To find out how to do so, just visit the 'Get involved' webpage.
The results from the survey will be shared over the coming months in The Treasurer Magazine and newsletters. Don't forget to keep an eye on the ACT LinkedIn and Twitter accounts as we unveil our plans.
While I hope you’re all enjoying the summer, don’t forget about the packed autumn calendar of events, all put on by the ACT’s award winning events team. I am particularly looking forward to seeing many of you at our inaugural ACT Working Capital conference, where hopefully I can catch up with you over a glass or two, watching the sun set from the rooftop terrace overlooking St Paul's Cathedral.
Finally, I’d like to pay a personal tribute to two titans of the treasury world who are soon retiring. Please join me in thanking Richard Raeburn, Hon FCT and John Grout Hon FCT, respectively EACT Chair and ACT Policy & Technical Director. They have both been outstanding advocates for the global treasury profession, the authentic voice of the real economy, and have strived to promote and lobby for fair and effective financial markets.
Thank you to Richard and John from all of us in the treasury profession. We will always be hugely indebted. Their leadership has been exceptional and we are all the wiser for it.
