This month we are celebrating the success of our students who have completed the penultimate set of “old” ACT exams.
Very many congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard to achieve their qualifications. It takes time, dedication and personal sacrifices to study for professional qualifications, mainly as they fall at a time of life when people are busy with their families and careers and are juggling many conflicting priorities.
So it’s important to celebrate our success as well as remembering the efforts we've made to get our qualifications. Here’s 5 good reasons for celebrating:
- It’s a moment to reflect on our hard work and remember what we have learned, how we've developed and what we have changed as a result of our learning. This is a really important part of learning and encourages a “continuous improvement” approach to our personal and professional development.
- It’s a chance to have a really good show off about our success and share it with the treasury community, whether that’s your colleagues, boss or the ACT members’ network. It’s great PR and a chance to raise your profile, so don’t forget to keep your membership up to date to take advantage of our industry recognised designatory letters.
- You could use your new found expertise to support others – you could consider becoming a Mentor or share your skills through getting involved with the ACT through projects, regional groups or speaking at an event.
- A positive attitude to success helps us grow in confidence and increases our happiness levels – great when recovering from a lot of studying and revision!
- It gives us motivation to keep going with further career development through more studies and career moves.
So however you choose to celebrate, we send you our many congratulations!
