The ACT LearningTeam enjoyed a busy couple of days at the recent Training and Development Show 2016 in Dubai. ACT's Middle East education activity has been growing over the last 8 years and colleagues were in Dubai to spread the word on professional treasury standards and qualifications and training to support organisations and individuals develop treasury capability. Bringing together the C-suite, HR and training departments, gurus and transformational leaders, The Training & Development Show provides a platform for over 3,000 attendees to debate, discuss and prepare for the future.
Visitors to the ACT stand were able to chat with our local advisor, Alan Stevens, as well as one of our UAE based treasury trainers. Free learning samples and demonstrations of the ACT's new First Steps in Treasury eLearning series were available too. Vanessa Harwood-Whitcher, ACT's Director of Professional Standards and Learning said:
This was our first year at this major training event and we were really pleased to attend. We met with many new people and look forward to working on building relationships with key organisations to build treasury capacity and capability in the region.
If you didn't get a chance to meet the ACT Learning Team, there will be another opportunity at the ACT Middle East Summit on 24 and 25 October in Dubai. The team are running two workshops for Women in Finance and a Leadership boot camp as well as being on hand for one to one career and organisational development discussions.
