Celebrating 40 years, the ACT's Annual Dinner brought the treasury community together for a memorable evening.
Ade Adepitan MBE, an Olympian and TV personality known as 'the Michael Jordan of wheelchair basketball'.
Ade represented Great Britain at the European and World Championships and participated in the Sydney Olympics, winning bronze in Athens.
He since has established a successful career and has presented various hard-hitting documentaries, sports, and entertainment programmes on the BBC and Channel 4. He played a key role in Channel 4's Paralympics coverage and featured in the BBC documentary series "Beyond Boundaries" where he trekked through rainforests, deserts, rivers and mountains in Nicaragua.
Ade is motivated by his parent's ambition of bringing him to England and opening up new possibilities. He emphasises the transformative power of seeing the wheelchair as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. He has turned his talents to acting and is the author of a series of children's books featuring Cyborg Cat.
