The Association of Corporate Treasurers is committed to the promotion of equity, diversity and inclusion across all participants in financial markets. This applies to our own teams, the treasury teams of our corporate members, and teams in the financial institutions they work with. We believe that, over time, increasingly diverse teams across the market will provide better advice. This leads to better outcomes for our members – and by extension the UK economy.
Equity, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of many of our initiatives.
Working with leading corporates and banks, we have developed five guiding principles to promote and improve diversity and inclusion across all participants in financial markets.

We support career development for those unable to fund their training through the Diversity in Treasury programme and the ACT Educational Trust.
Our transparent governance includes the ACT Ethical Code and a speaking-up policy. Our governing Council is made up of a diverse range of members.
We work with the treasury community to create conferences and events that welcome diverse speakers and delegates.
The ACT was one of the founding signatories to the Federation of Awarding Bodies EDI pledge to champion equity, diversity and inclusion through our qualifications programme.
